However, most people underestimate the importance of drinking water within a diet and are often unaware that it can help speed up the results of dieting by aiding the burning of unwanted fat.

A quick search online will bring up a vast amount of weight loss plans promising to get those on their diet into their best possible physique and to their optimum level of health. Ultimately diet plans are just the start the journey as if the desire to stick to a diet is not there, there will be no chance of losing any significant amount of weight. Having the desire to lose weight is as important as whichever diet you chose to follow.

Fortunately, there are many additional tricks that can bolster your chances of losing weight and one of these dieting aids is to simply drink a liquid that most of the civilized world takes for granted.

A simple drink of chilled water can help those dieting to burn more calories and start to burn fat at an increased rate. Simply consuming more water in a healthy diet has been shown to help slimmers decrease their unwanted body fat. Keeping your body hydrated whether dieting or not can greatly boost your overall physical health.

Drinking more water may seem a simple answer to weight loss, but its effectiveness is proven, as several studies have documented its importance. When water is consumed ice-cold, it has been proven to boost the calorie-burning properties of water even further.

Research has found that drinking just 500ml of chilled water can increase how many calories the body burns for at least an hour. Increasing your bodies ability to burn calories will ultimately reduce how much energy needs to be stored as unwanted fat. Those who remained properly hydrated faired much better than those who did not drink this additional amount of water.
Those who advocate proper hydration through chilled water claim that drinking water on a regular schedule within a sensible diet can remove as much as 4lb of excess body fat over the course of a year.

A collection of studies monitoring those subjects who were overweight, noticed significant results when they drank an extra two litres of water every day for a few weeks.

They also noticed an increased reduction in their weight, a positive change to their waist measurements and a reduction to their Body Mass Index(BMI).

Chilled and purified water has health benefits.

Of course, drinking iced and purified water is not a diet in itself. But by maintaining a good level of hydration combined with cutting back on the amount of sugar in your diet can help those who want to lose weight slim down over several weeks.

By following one of the fasting diets, you could lose even more weight and by remaining hydrated, you will not suffer the negative effects that some people often feel on these restrictive dietary regimes.
